This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through hellochina.ai, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit our contact or enquiry form, we collect the details you choose to provide. These may include your name; email; WhatsApp or WeChat ID; your current location; your target move date and timeline; information about your family that is relevant to relocation (for example the number and ages of children, current and preferred school curriculum, and tuition or housing budgets); your nationality, visa status, salary band and employer type; your preferred neighborhoods; and any message or "biggest worry" you share with us. Only your name, email, a chosen service, and your consent to be contacted are required — the rest is up to you.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and a record of your subscription. We use a double opt-in, so we also keep proof that you confirmed.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view and how you interact with them, and the page that referred you. If you arrive through an advertisement or campaign link, we record the campaign parameters in the URL (for example utm_source, utm_medium, gclid, fbclid) so we can understand which channels bring enquiries. Most of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Vercel (website hosting) and Neon (database hosting), where your enquiry and site data are stored;
Resend (sends our email — lead notifications to us and newsletter confirmations to you);
the analytics and advertising providers listed above (Google, Meta, Microsoft), in line with your cookie choices.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose information where required by law.

International transfers

We are based in China and our providers operate internationally, so your information may be stored or processed in China and in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, we take steps to protect your information when it is transferred.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and lead information for as long as needed to assist you and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then delete or anonymize it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's settings.

Your choices and rights

You can:

ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it;
withdraw your consent to cookies or marketing at any time;
unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email.

This website and our services are aimed at adults arranging a move for themselves and their families. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Where you provide details about your children as part of a family relocation enquiry, you do so as their parent or guardian.
